› TERMS OF USE

Last updated: May 2026

These terms govern your use of the GLYPHS website (the "Site") and the GLYPHS smart contracts deployed on Ethereum mainnet (the "Contracts"). By using the Site or interacting with the Contracts, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. No financial advice

Nothing on the Site constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. The $GLYPH token has no intrinsic monetary value. We make no representations about future price, demand, utility, or liquidity. Cryptocurrency and NFT markets are highly volatile and you may lose your entire investment. Do your own research.

2. Eligibility

You represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
  • You have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
  • You are not located in, organized under, or a resident of any jurisdiction in which the purchase or sale of cryptographic tokens is illegal or restricted (including but not limited to OFAC-sanctioned countries)
  • You will not use the Site or Contracts to violate any law

3. No warranty

THE SITE, THE CONTRACTS, AND THE $GLYPH TOKEN ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ABSENCE OF DEFECTS OR ERRORS.

The contracts are unaudited. They may contain bugs, vulnerabilities, or undefined behavior that could result in loss of funds, loss of NFTs, or other harm. You assume all risk.

4. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE GLYPHS PROJECT, ITS CREATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF FUNDS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM:

  • Your use of, or inability to use, the Site or Contracts
  • Bugs or vulnerabilities in the smart contracts
  • Network congestion, gas fee spikes, or failed transactions
  • Wallet provider errors, lost or stolen private keys
  • Phishing or impersonation by third parties
  • Unauthorized access to your wallet or account
  • Changes in the value of $GLYPH or any other cryptocurrency

5. NFT IP rights

The art for each Glyph is a deterministic output of an open-source MIT-licensed smart contract. By minting or acquiring a Glyph NFT, you receive personal use rights to display the artwork associated with your specific token ID.

Commercial use rights are not exclusive. The same art can be regenerated for any wallet that holds the token in the future (because of ERC404's re-roll mechanic). Do not assume your glyph's traits are permanently bound to your wallet — they are bound to the current owner of that specific token ID.

6. ERC404 specific risks

  • ERC404 is an experimental, unofficial token standard. It is not recognized by the Ethereum Foundation and may be incompatible with certain wallets, marketplaces, bridges, or aggregators.
  • Transferring $GLYPH triggers NFT burn + remint operations. Each transfer regenerates the receiver's PFP art with new traits. If you value a specific art combination, do NOT transfer that token — and be aware that even ERC-721 transferFrom on a specific ID may not preserve the visual after a future transfer to a third party.
  • Gas costs are higher than standard ERC-20 or ERC-721 transfers due to the dual logic. During congested periods this may make trading uneconomical.

7. Prohibited use

You may not:

  • Use the Site for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to exploit smart contract bugs in bad faith
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with the project
  • Wash-trade or otherwise manipulate token markets
  • Use the Site to launder funds or evade sanctions

8. Modifications

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. The on-chain Contracts, however, are immutable — they cannot be changed, paused, or upgraded beyond the powers explicitly granted to the owner address (described on the contract page).

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION TBD — replace with deployer's jurisdiction before launch]. Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration, except for claims that may be brought in small claims court.
